I think the receiver is somewhere around 10 or 11 years. I have to sell if I have an A / V was the manufacturer. I think it was last year for Yamaha include "V" (for video) on the name for the stereo receiver. This is really the equivalent of the current RX 496 has a modern structure made. I found, however, is the largest Yamaha sometimes better (match), for example damping factor. Often, quality is sacrificed one year to another, as the value added. I think the RX-V492 is conservatively rated 75 watts per channel. For more information, call Yamaha. A Yamaha dealer can tell you the number. Unfortunately, the stereo receivers have lost much of its resale value these days is because all of surround sound and the actual rate of serious 2-channels are my high-end hardware. Such as Avid yardsale I expect to see as a receiver to sell at a price of about $ 20. If it kept me well. You never know when it might be useful in certain applications, and I am sure this is a great work!

Probably not much.

Buy a good pair of speakers shelf and use it.
