Wood Floor Restoration Art Restoration Question: How To Restore A Foamcore-mounted Poster With A Gash In It?

Art restoration question: how to restore a foamcore-mounted poster with a gash in it? - wood floor restoration

I hang on my wall, a poster does not appear expensive and which are mounted on Foamboard is. The upper portion of the lamp next to the tower that fell and put a nasty gouge looking into it. I've done worse, try to fill it with grout (the wound is in a part of the white poster), followed by wood, glue, if it does not work. I ended up slipping a bit with a razor blade and foam from a wide range of paper. Which product is recommended to stick to the wound, the foam panels, the (hopefully white goods) may be filled will be used to create backup copies of the thickness of paper on which he intends to off, too?

I'm sure can do some restoration work of professional art and load do not have big dollars, so if one of you would be here and tell me how to do it myself fairly well, although not necessarily would be perfect are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Take advantage of your poster for a small press, because they are usually less concerned about copyright infringement and are a sign of changing conditions.

Another idea is to cut the poster into four pieces, put the damage, so faint and frame and hang the other parts in a row. Of course, this depends on the subject of the poster.

Finally, it is possible that the damage he could not hide some collage pieces.
